Christine Schmidt Killed, One Seriously Injured in Lewisville Car Crash on Interstate 35 near Lewisville Lake Bridge and Garden Ridge Boulevard
Lewisville, Texas (March 21, 2019) – A woman was killed and another was seriously injured on Wednesday in a three-vehicle crash on a Lewisville freeway, according to the police.
The fatal crash was reported on Wednesday, March 20, on Interstate 35E, between the Lewisville Lake Bridge and Garden Ridge Boulevard.
Police said the crash involved two vehicles. Another crash also happened shortly after the first crash.
Christine Schmidt, 33, of Carrollton, was taken to Medical City Denton where she later died.
Another woman was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The southbound lanes of the freeway were closed following the crash. The lanes were reopened a while after 2:00 p.m.
An investigation is ongoing.
