Man Killed in Dallas Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 30 at Buckner

Dallas, Texas (September 30, 2020) – A man fleeing the police was fatally hit by an 18-wheeler Monday afternoon in Dallas, according to deputies.

The deadly accident happened at about 1.30 p.m. on September 28, on Interstate 30 service road at Buckner.

Authorities said a deputy attempted to pull over the man on his motorbike, but the rider continued riding eastbound until he crashed. He then ran off across the road and was hit by an 18-wheeler.

The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The crash closed the highway for several hours, and traffic was diverted onto St. Francis.

An investigation is underway.
