Ethan Perez Critically Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on 37th Street

Lubbock, Texas (May 14, 2022) – An 8-year-old boy was critically injured Thursday evening in a pedestrian accident in Lubbock, according to the police.

The accident happened around 7:50 p.m., May 12, in the 4000 block of 37th Street.

Police said Ethan Perez, 8, was crossing the street on a scooter when he was struck by a westbound GMC Sierra.

Perez was taken to Covenant Medical Center with critical injuries. A GoFundMe page has been created to help with the medical expenses.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
