Cody Ellis Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Sam Houston Pkwy in Harris County

Cody Ellis Killed in NE Harris County Two-Vehicle Crash on Sam Houston Parkway 

Harris County, Texas (September 18, 2022) – One person was killed early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in northeast Harris County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., September 17, in the 8800 block of E Sam Houston Pkwy N.

Authorities said a white Lexus was heading southbound in the second lane when a gold Toyota came in front of it.

The Toyota ran the red light while trying to travel eastbound under the freeway and was hit by the Lexus on the driver’s side door.

The Toyota driver, Cody Ellis, and the Lexus driver were taken to the hospital, where Ellis later died.

The HCSO’s Vehicular Crime Division is investigating the crash.
