Couple Injured in Crash with Intoxicated Driver on US 281 in San Antonio

Couple Hospitalized After San Antonio Crash on US Highway 281

San Antonio, Texas (February 19, 2023) – A couple was injured early Saturday morning in a crash involving an intoxicated driver in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened around 2:23 a.m., February 18, in the 15400 block of US Highway 281.

Police said a couple in a Ford F-150 pulled behind a Ford Fusion on the highway to check on the driver. The passenger in the Ford, a 42-year-old woman, stepped out to check and was struck by a southbound Honda. The impact tossed the woman forward.

The couple was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The Fusion driver and the Honda driver were found to be intoxicated. They were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

The police are investigating the crash.
