Crystal Mendoza Killed, Isaac Rebollar-Gonzalez and Maliki Howard Injured in Valley View Crash on Interstate 35

Valley View, Texas – One person was killed and two others were injured early Sunday morning in a crash in Valley View, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened just before 4:00 a.m., February 18, on Interstate 35.

DPS said Isaac Rebollar-Gonzalez, 23, of Little Elm, and Crystal Mendoza, 22, of Dallas, were involved in a single-vehicle crash and their car was disabled in the right lane of southbound I-35. They were standing outside the vehicle when another vehicle, driven by Maliki Howard, 21, of Bethany, LA, hit them and their car.

Mendoza was taken to a Denton hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Rebollar-Gonzalez was airlifted to Medical City Denton with critical injuries.

Howard was taken to Medical City Denton with serious injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
