Damaris Acosta Arrested after San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Bandera Road

San Antonio, Texas (June 3, 2019) – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian seriously hurt on Saturday night in San Antonio, according to a local news source.

The accident happened at about 10:00 p.m. June 1, in the 900 block of Bandera Road.

Police said a pedestrian was crossing the street when she was hit by a vehicle.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

The victim was taken to the hospital with head trauma and multiple injuries in serious condition.

A witness got the license plate of the vehicle, and the authorities were able to locate a possible vehicle in the 100 block of Clearview Drive. The driver, identified as Damaris Acosta, 28, was taken into custody on suspicion of hit-and-run.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
