Daniel Cao Killed in Odessa Dirt Bike Crash on Ratliff Ridge Road at 90th

Odessa, Texas – A man was killed Wednesday evening in a dirt bike crash in Odessa, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 7:39 p.m., December 20, in the 8900 block of Ratliff Ridge Road at 90th.

Police said Daniel Cao, 30, of Odessa, was operating a Kawasaki dirt bike southbound without lights or reflectors while Oscar Chavez, of Odessa, was driving a silver 2014 Chevrolet Silverado northbound.

The Silverado attempted to turn westbound on 90th, and it struck the dirt bike.

Cao was transported to Medical Center Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
