Daniel Kirk Killed in Jack County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 114

Jack County, Texas (September 8, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Jack County.

The fatal crash happened on September 6, on Highway 114.

DPS said Daniel Heath Kirk, 31, of Jermyn, Texas, was driving when he crossed the center stripe and hit an oncoming 2021 Volkswagen SUV.

Kirk’s car then skidded sideways into a ditch and hit several trees.

Kirk was pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the other vehicle, which came to a rest on the northbound shoulder after the crash, were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
