Passenger Killed in Car Accident on I-35 in Waco
1 Killed in Waco Car Crash on Interstate 35
Waco, Texas (October 26, 2019) – One person was killed in a traffic accident Friday morning in Waco, a local news source reported.
The deadly crash happened around 10:20 a.m. October 25, on Interstate 35.
Authorities said an SUV was attempting to merge when it hit a construction sign and knocked it into the roadway. A pickup then drove over the sign on the highway causing a piece of it to go airborne.
The metal piece went through the windshield of a Ford Focus and struck the front seat passenger.
The passenger was declared dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.
The Ford driver was uninjured.
The crash backed up traffic for miles.
An investigation is underway.
