Darrel Scott Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 35 in Temple

Darrel Scott ID’d as Driver Killed in Temple Crash on Interstate 35

Temple, Texas (June 14, 2022) –The Temple Police Department has identified the driver who was killed Friday night in a wrong-way crash in Temple.

Darrel Scott, 71, died in the crash that happened at around 9:00 p.m., on June 10, on northbound Interstate 35 near exit 297.

Scott, a resident of Temple, was driving the wrong way on Interstate 35 when his vehicle collided with a northbound car occupied by a mother and her three sons.

Scott died in the crash.

The family was taken to Baylor Scott & White Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
