One Killed in SW Austin Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 71 near US 290

Austin, Texas (June 26, 2023) – According to a local news source, a pedestrian was hit and killed by a car Saturday night in southwest Austin.

The fatal crash occurred around 10:50 p.m., June 24, on State Highway 71 near US 290.

According to the report, a pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a car. The victim has only been identified as an adult.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
