Two Injured in Austin Scooter Accident on East 8th Street near Walnut Avenue

Austin, Texas (May 9, 2022) – Two people were injured early Monday morning in a scooter crash in East Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.

The deadly accident occurred at around 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of East 8th Street and Brazos Street.

Two scooter riders reportedly collided with a vehicle under unclear circumstances.

Both adult patients sustained serious, potentially life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital. Their names and conditions were not immediately disclosed.

No further details about the collision were provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
