Man Seriously Injured in Laredo Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 59

Laredo, Texas (February 2, 2021) – A man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon, about 7 miles east of Laredo, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened on February 1, on U.S. 59, at mile marker 814.

DPS said a man was driving a Ford pickup truck on the highway when he attempted to pass a commercial vehicle safely, but he failed and rear-ended the trailer.

The pickup driver was taken to a Laredo hospital with serious injuries.

No other details were provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
