Sidney Fincher Killed in Burnet County Bicycle Accident on FM 2657 near Oakalla

Burnet County, Texas (May 28, 2020) – A man was killed in a bicycle accident Monday morning in Burnet County, south of Copperas Cove, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly accident took place around 9:00 a.m. May 25, on FM 2657 near Oakalla.

DPS said a woman was driving a 2001 Mazda B2300 southbound on the highway when she hit 69-year-old Sidney Fincher of Copperas Cove, who was riding a bicycle.

A witness said the impact knocked Fincher into under a guard rail.

Fincher was killed in the crash.

No further details regarding the accident were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
