Daniel Remley, Shannon Ruffin and Robert Molin Injured in Wise County Crash at Farm Roads 51 and 2123
Wise County, Texas (January 6, 2019) – Three people were hospitalized Saturday morning after a two-vehicle collision at a Wise County intersection, according to a local news source.
The crash happened shortly before noon on Saturday, January 5, in the area of FM 51 and FM 2123.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Daniel Remley, 39, of Haslet, was driving a blue Honda Accord eastbound on FM 2123 when he ran a red light at the intersection and his vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Robert Molina, 69, of Abilene.
The Honda rolled over after the impact and came to rest on its top on the east side of FM 51.
Remley was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries while his passenger, Shannon Ruffin, 41, of Newport, Arkansas, was transported by a ground ambulance to Wise Health System with unspecified injuries.
Molina was also taken by a ground ambulance to John Peter Smith in unknown condition.
FM 51 was closed for few minutes to allow the medical helicopter to land.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
