William Thompson Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on East Rancier Avenue in Killeen

William Thompson ID’d as Man Killed in Killeen Crash on East Rancier Avenue and North Roy Reynolds Drive

Killeen, Texas (May 3, 2022) – Police have identified the man who died late Monday night following a two-vehicle crash in Killeen as William Jimmie Thompson, 37.

The deadly crash was reported at about 11:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2, at the intersection of East Rancier Avenue and North Roy Reynolds Drive.

Authorities said Thompson was driving a silver sedan northbound in the inside lane of Roy Reynolds Drive when he failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a red pickup truck.

Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
