Byler Lehmann Killed in Fayette County Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 77 near Warda Post Office
Fayette County, Texas (May 23, 2019) – The driver who was injured early last month in an alleged hit-and-run accident on a Fayette County highway has died, according to the officials.
The crash happened just after 2 a.m. April 4, on Highway 77 near the Warda Post Office.
DPS said Byler Lehmann was driving a white 2017 Mustang when he collided for unknown reasons with an 18-wheeler. His car went underneath the big rig, damaging the roof of the car.
The Mustang then exited and rolled over severally before coming to rest on top of a culvert.
Lehmann was taken to the hospital where he was placed on life support. He was taken off life support on May 22.
The authorities are looking for the suspect who fled the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
