Destiny Lopez Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on S Fort Hood in Killeen

Destiny Lopez ID’d as Woman Killed in Killeen Crash on S Fort Hood

Killeen, Texas (October 10, 2022) – The woman who died on Sunday morning following a two-vehicle crash in Killeen has been identified as Destiny Marie Cruz Lopez, 26.

The deadly crash happened shortly after 6:00 a.m. Sunday, October 9, in the 5200 block of S. Fort Hood Road.

According to the Killeen Police Department, a red Ford Fusion was heading southbound in the inside northbound lane when it collided with a blue Hyundai Elantra that was heading northbound in the same lane.

Lopez, who was the driver of the Hyundai, was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White in critical condition, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the Ford was taken to Baylor Scott & White in stable condition.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
