Devon Dominguez ID’d as Worker Killed in Wolfforth Pedestrian Crash on U.S. Highway 62/82 (Brownfield Highway) 

Wolfforth, Texas (August 14, 2019) – Authorities have identified the construction worker who was struck and killed by a dump truck at a road construction Tuesday morning in Wolfforth as Devon Dominguez, 21, of Hondo. He was an employee of Cox Paving of Texas.

The fatal pedestrian accident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 13 on Highway 62/82 near the westbound frontage road. U.S. Highway 62/82 near Brownfield Highway.

Police said Dominguez was working on the road resurfacing project when he was struck by a company dump truck.

Dominguez crossed behind the dump truck while it was backing up on the frontage road, and was hit and run over.

Dominguez sustained major injuries and was transported to University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
