One Killed, Two Injured in La Marque Crash at FM 1764 and FM 2004

La Marque, Texas (March 19, 2023) – One person was killed and two other people were injured in a traffic crash on Saturday night in La Marque, authorities said.

The deadly accident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the intersection of FM 1764 and FM 200.

Authorities said an officer with the Texas City Police Department was responding to a call to help the La Marque Police Department.

As the officer was responding to the call, they collided with a white Honda Fit that had two occupants.

Both the driver and passenger of the Honda were transported to the hospital, where the driver later died. The condition of the passenger was not immediately known.

The officer was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
