Donan Justice Killed in North Abilene Pedestrian Accident on Highway 351; Robby Hale and John Gonzales Arrested

Abilene, Texas – The 59-year-old man who was killed Thursday morning in a hit-and-run accident in North Abilene has been identified as Donan Myron Justice, of Abilene, Texas, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 5:50 a.m., February 29, on Highway 351 at the intersection with the entrance to Walmart.

Authorities said Justice was in his wheelchair when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene after the accident. A second vehicle hit Justice and also fled the scene.

Justice was pronounced dead at the scene.

Robby Wayne Hale, 37, of Clyde, Texas, was arrested at a home in Clyde in connection with the accident. He was taken to the Taylor County Jail and was charged with Second Degree Felony Accident Involving Death. A second driver, 58-year-old John Daniel Gonzales of Abilene, was also arrested and charged with Second Degree Felony Accident Involving Death.

The authorities are now seeking the driver of a third vehicle for questioning.

The crash remains under investigation.
