Alvord Man Donnie Cowley Killed in Park Springs Crash on Texas 101
Park Springs, Texas (June 16, 2019) – A man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon in Park Springs, according to the DPS.
The wreck happened at about 3:40 p.m. Friday, June 14, on Texas 101, approximately 12 miles north of Chico.
DPS said Donnie Cowley, 65, of Alvord, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet pickup southbound on Texas 101 when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the centerline and collided with an oncoming 2000 Chevrolet pickup.
The 2002 Chevrolet continued on and collided with a northbound 2014 Chevrolet Cruz.
Cowley sustained grave injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the 2000 Chevrolet was taken to Medical City Denton Hospital with unknown injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The DPS is investigating the incident.
