Driver Seriously Injured in Highway 30 Accident near FM 244 in Carlos
Carlos, Texas (January 22, 2019) – One person was seriously injured Monday morning in a traffic accident near Carlos, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened just before 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 21 on Highway 30 near FM 244.
The DPS said a 1999 Dodge truck was attempting to cross the highway when it collided with a dump truck that was traveling westbound.
The force of the impact ejected the driver of the Dodge truck from his vehicle. He was airlifted to CHI St. Joseph Health in Bryan with major injuries.
The dump truck driver and a passenger in the Dodge truck were not seriously hurt.
Authorities shut down westbound lanes during the investigation and clearance.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
