Driver Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on East Freeway in Houston

Driver Killed in Houston Crash on East Freeway Sunday Night

Houston, Texas (April 25, 2022) – A driver was killed in a crash involving two vehicles on Sunday night in Houston, police said.

The fatal two-vehicle wreck occurred at about 11:45 p.m. on April 24 in the 10801 block of East Freeway.

According to the Houston Police Department, a Chevrolet Impala was heading westbound on East Freeway when it sideswiped a Camaro.

After the impact, the Impala driver reportedly lost control, and as a result, the vehicle overturned and ejected the driver.

Sadly, the driver of the Impala was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The Camaro driver did not suffer any injuries, police said.

Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
