Austin Morris Among 3 Injured in Kilgore Crash at State Highway 135 and Peavine Road

Kilgore, Texas (November 24, 2022) – Austin Morris, 25, of Gladewater, was among three people who were injured in a traffic accident on Monday afternoon in Kilgore, according to the Kilgore Police Department.

The wreck took place at the intersection of State Highway 135 and Peavine Road on Monday, November 21.

Kilgore police said a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Morris, was traveling eastbound on Peavine Road when he failed to yield the right-of-way as his vehicle entered the intersection of Peavine Road and State Highway 135.

The Chevrolet then collided with a 2017 Ford F250 that was traveling northbound on State Highway 135.

Morris and his three passengers, a woman, 3-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy, were transported to nearby hospitals. The 1-year-old was then airlifted to Shreveport in critical condition.

The driver of the Ford, Antonia Sanchez, 58, of Gilmer, was uninjured in the crash.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
