Raymond Forzano and Marcella Flowers Killed in Wise County Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 81/287 near FM 407

Wise County, Texas (March 11, 2022) – Two people were killed Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision in Wise County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 5:30 p.m., March 10, on U.S. 81/287, north of Farm Road 407, near New Fairview.

DPS said a 2019 Dodge Journey driven by Marcella Deniece Flowers, 36, of Dallas, was traveling southbound on the highway when it crossed the center median and crashed head-on into a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox.

The Equinox driver, 65-year-old Raymond Forzano of Bowie, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Flowers was taken to Wise Health System in Decatur, where she later died.

The crash closed all northbound lanes of the highway.

The crash remains under investigation.
