One Injured in Lubbock Big Rig Crash on East 18th Street and MLK Boulevard

Lubbock, Texas (January 8, 2019) – A driver was seriously injured in a collision between a vehicle and a big rig at an intersection in Lubbock on Monday evening, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
The wreck happened shortly after 6 p.m. January 7 at East 18th Street and MLK Boulevard.
Police said a pickup and an 18-wheeler were involved.
The driver of the pickup sustained serious injuries and was taken to UMC.
The crash caused a closure of the intersection throughout the evening as the scene was examined and cleared.
The Lubbock Police Department is working to find out the cause of the crash.
