Driver Seriously Injured in DUI Crash on Guadalupe Street in San Antonio

Driver Suffers Serious Injuries in San Antonio Crash on Guadalupe Street near South Colorado Street

San Antonio, Texas (July 11, 2022) – A driver was seriously injured in an alleged DUI crash Sunday in San Antonio, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The wreck took place in the 1200 block of Guadalupe Street near South Colorado Street on July 10.

Police said a red 2003 Chevrolet Corvette was speeding on Guadalupe Street when it tried to pass a Toyota Camry. For an unknown reason, the Corvette sideswiped the Camry.

The Corvette then collided head-on with a 2014 Kia Soul taxi. The impact pushed the Kia into a white 2006 GMC Envoy.

The driver of the taxi was transported to University Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the Corvette was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation is underway.
