Earl Moore Hurt in Chico Truck Accident on FM 1810 and CR 1490

Chico, Texas (January 19, 2019) – One person was injured in a crash involving big rigs near Chico early Thursday morning, according to the DPS.
The wreck took place at about 2:40 a.m. January 17 on FM 1810 and CR 1490.
DPS said Donald Langston, 52, of Whitesboro, was driving a 2007 Kenworth tractor-trailer westbound on FM 1810 when he slowed down to make a right turn onto CR 1490.
Earl Moore, 59, of Crowley was also westbound driving a 2014 Mack tractor-trailer and tried t overtake Langston but collided with an oncoming 1998 Peterbilt driven by Michael Hartley, 64, of Chico.
The impact caused both big rigs to catch fire.
The trailer towed by the Peterbilt then collided with the towed unit of the Kenworth.
Moore was injured in the crash and was transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas by ambulance.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation.
