Elizabeth R. Shelt ID’d as Woman Killed in Upshur County Pedestrian Accident on US-271
Upshur County, Texas (April 29, 2019) – The woman who was killed Tuesday night in a pedestrian accident in Upshur County has been identified as Elizabeth R. Shelt, 87, of Winnsboro, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred at about 9:05 p.m. April 23, on US-271.
DPS said Beverly Burns Sinclair, 74, of Pittsburg was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry northbound on the highway when she hit Shelt who was crossing the roadway from westbound to eastbound.
Shelt was taken to UT-Health –Pittsburg where she later died.
An investigation is underway.
