One Killed and Two Injured in Port Arthur Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas 73

Port Arthur, Texas (July 4, 2019) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in Port Arthur, a local news source reported.

The fatal crash was reported around 6:03 p.m. July 3, on Texas 73 near the railroad tracks.

According to a preliminary report, an SUV made a U-turn in front of an 18-wheeler, resulting in a collision.

The driver of the SUV died at the scene. Two other people were taken to the hospital in unknown conditions.

Texas 73 westbound from Texas 82 was closed for about four more hours following the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
