Elvin Diaz-Felipe ID’d as Man Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident at E. Braker Lane and Dessau Road

Austin, Texas (December 30, 2019) – The man who was killed in a pedestrian accident last week Sunday in Austin has been identified as 22-year-old Elvin Diaz-Felipe, according to the police.

The deadly accident took place on Sunday, December 22, at the intersection of E. Braker Lane and Dessau Road.

Police said a Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on Dessau Road approaching Braker Lane when it struck Diaz-Felipe, who was talking on his cell phone. Diaz-Felipe was walking parallel to, but outside of the crosswalk with his head oriented in a downward direction and away from approaching southbound traffic.

Diaz-Felipe was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Camry driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
