Eric Naranjo and Robert Tyson Womble Among Three Killed in San Antonio Plane Crash on West Rhapsody Drive

San Antonio, Texas (December 3, 2019) – Three people were killed in a plane crash Sunday evening in San Antonio, according to officials.

The deadly crash happened on Sunday, December 1, in the 600 block of West Rhapsody Drive near the San Antonio International Airport.

Officials said the single-engine aircraft took off from Sugar Land heading to Boerne when it began to experience engine trouble. The pilot, Robert Tyson Womble, 38, tried to divert to the San Antonio International Airport, but came up short of the airport and crashed.

Womble, 22-year-old Eric Naranjo, and a woman were killed in the crash.

The NTSB and the FAA are investigating the crash.
