Susan Simmons Killed in Fort Worth Hit-and-Run Crash on International Parkway

Fort Worth, Texas – According to the police, a woman was killed Thursday evening in a hit-and-run accident in Fort Worth.

The deadly accident happened around 7:00 p.m., December 21, on International Parkway, just south of the DFW Airport south exit.

Police said 57-year-old Susan Simmons was standing with another person near their disabled vehicle and were waiting for a tow truck to arrive when they were struck by a passing pickup truck that veered off the roadway.

The pickup fled the scene after the accident.

Simmons was pronounced dead at the scene. The person who was with her was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The police are investigating the crash and are looking for a Toyota Tundra with a missing driver’s side mirror. Anyone with information about the truck or the accident is asked to call 817-392-4884.
