Ervin Daniels Killed in Freestone County Pedestrian Accident on IH-45

Freestone County, Texas (September 11, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run accident in Freestone County, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 3:45 p.m., September 9, on IH-45, south of Fairfield.

Authorities said Ervin Daniels, 65, of Buffalo, was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.

Buffalo was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with any information about this crash or the vehicle involved is urged to contact the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office at 903-389-3236.
