Man Killed in Harris County Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-45 

Harris County, Texas (December 19, 2019) – A man was killed early Thursday morning in a wrong-way crash Harris County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash occurred at about 2:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 North near Airtex, north of Beltway 8.

Deputies said a silver Chevrolet Impala was heading the wrong way when it sideswiped an Infiniti and then crashed into the barrier.

The Impala kept driving, and it collided head-on with a white Dodge Charger.

A passenger in the Charger was declared dead at the scene. The Charger driver was taken to the hospital with a head injury.

The wrong-way driver was also taken to the hospital with a head injury. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The Infiniti driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
