Tammie Carter Killed, Jeffrey Watson Injured in Tyler County Crash on US 190
Tyler County, Texas (July 24, 2019) – One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Tyler County.
According to a DPS report, the collision occurred at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, on US 190.
DPS said a 2004 Toyota passenger car was heading west on US 190 when, for unknown reasons, the driver drifted into the eastbound side and collided with an oncoming 2009 Chevrolet pickup.
The driver of the Toyota, Tammie Carter, 50, of Woodville, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Jeffrey Watson, 50, of Spring, was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Beaumont for treatment of his injuries.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
