One Killed in Pearland Pedestrian Accident on SH 288 near Beltway 8

Pearland, Texas (June 9, 2023) – One person was killed early Wednesday morning in a pedestrian accident in Pearland, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened shortly after 4:00 a.m., June 7, in the southbound main lanes of SH 288 near Beltway 8.

According to the report, a person died after they were struck by a vehicle. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The accident closed all the southbound main lanes of SH 288 for a few hours.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
