Police Officer Hurt, Steven Turner Arrested after Arlington Crash on North Collins Street

Arlington, Texas (May 14, 2019) – Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured an Arlington Police Department bicycle officer early Sunday morning in Arlington.
According to a police report, the crash was reported at about 12:45 a.m. May 12, in the 800 block of North Collins Street.
The report showed that an Arlington police officer was riding a marked patrol bicycle across Collins Street when a northbound dark-colored vehicle struck them and fled the scene.
The rider was treated at Medical City Arlington and later released.
Police reported that a suspect had turned himself in on Monday, May 13. The suspect, identified as Steven Turner, 37, was taken into custody.
The incident remained under investigation.
