Timothy Shorter Fatal DUI Crash on US 287 Highway in Arlington

Timothy Shorter Killed in Arlington Two-Vehicle Crash on US 287 near Interstate Highway 20
Arlington, Texas (January 2, 2019) – A person was killed on New Year’s morning in a suspected DUI crash in Arlington, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash happened at about 6:40 a.m. January 1, in the 4800 block of US 287 Highway exit ramp to West Interstate Highway 20.
Authorities said Elizabeth Stratton, 35 of Fort Worth and Timothy Shorter, 46, of Arlington, were driving their vehicles on the exit ramp from northbound US 287 onto westbound IH-20 when Stratton failed to maintain a lane and struck Shorter’s passenger vehicle. The impact pushed Shorter’s vehicle into a concrete pillar.
Shorter died at the scene.
Stratton was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter. She was the taken into the Arlington Jail.
