One Hospitalized after Lufkin Car Accident on U.S. Highway 59
Lufkin, Texas (May 25, 2019) – One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash Friday evening near a Lufkin highway, a local news source reported.
The crash happened on Friday, May 24, on U.S. Highway 59.
Police said a vehicle rear-ended another vehicle in the inside northbound lane of the highway. The impact pushed one of the vehicles into another car. One of the involved vehicles was an 18-wheeler.
One of the vehicles ended up in the inside southbound lane of Highway 59 after the collision.
One of the drivers was taken to CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial in unknown condition while another driver was arrested on traffic offenses.
All but one lane of northbound Highway 59 was closed following the crash.
The police are investigating the crash.
