Fernando Ochoa ID’d as Man Killed in Weslaco Truck Crash on U.S. Highway 77
Weslaco, Texas (August 28, 2019) – The man who was killed Monday afternoon in a traffic accident in Weslaco has been identified as Fernando Martinez Ochoa, 57, according to authorities.
The fatal crash happened just after 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 26 on U.S. Highway 77.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ochoa was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 southbound on U.S. Highway 77 when his vehicle collided with a northbound 2020 Freightliner semi-trailer.
Martinez Ochoa was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Freightliner was not injured.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
