Floyd Hampton ID’d as Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Babcock Road near Medical Drive
San Antonio, Texas (January 23, 2019) – The elderly man who was killed Sunday night in a pedestrian accident on the Northwest Side has been identified as Floyd Van Hampton, 69, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner.
The deadly accident took place at about 11:00 p.m. January 20, on Babcock Road near Medical Drive.
Police said Hampton was walking across Babcock Road, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck by a vehicle.
Hampton was taken to the hospital in critical condition when he later died.
The involved driver fled the scene but was later found by the police, and he admitted that he had hit someone.
The police are investigating the crash.
