Garrett W. Bednarz Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Accident at 38th Street and Wayne Avenue

Garrett W. Bednarz ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Lubbock Crash at 38th Street and Wayne Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (August 13, 2019) – Authorities have identified the motorcycle rider who was killed Monday evening in a traffic accident at an intersection in Lubbock as Garrett W. Bednarz, 21.

The tragic crash was reported at around 6:45 p.m. Monday, August 12 at the intersection of 38th Street and Wayne Avenue.

According to the authorities, Garrett W. Bednarz, 21, was riding a 2008 Honda motorcycle westbound on 38th Street while a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling southbound on Wayne Avenue.

The driver of the Pontiac stopped at the red light and then proceeded to enter the Lubbock intersection. The Honda rear-ended the Pontiac.

Bednarz was transported to UMC where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Pontiac driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
