Girl Killed, Teffoni Phillips and Child Injured in Midland County Crash at FM 1379 and East County Road 120

Midland County, Texas (June 7, 2019) – A young girl was killed and two other people were injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash at a Midland County intersection, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash was reported around 5:40 p.m. June 3, at the intersection of FM 1379 and East County Road 120.

According to a preliminary investigation, Teffoni Phillips, was driving a Jeep Wrangler when he failed to yield a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a semi-truck.

Phillips and one child were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

Another child, a girl, was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock where she later died.

An investigation is underway.
