Glenda Louise Werth and Hunter Werth Killed in Taylor Three-Vehicle Crash on South Main Street

Taylor, Texas (November 3, 2019) – A woman and her grandson were killed Friday night in a three-vehicle crash in Taylor, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 8:38 p.m. November 1, in the 1100 block of South Main Street.

According to a preliminary investigation, Glenda Louise Werth, 59, of Pflugerville, was driving a 2009 Honda Van northbound when she stopped the vehicle and began backing the vehicle up in reverse.

The van was then rear-ended by a northbound 2008 Toyota SUV driven by Madison Plinkinton, 23, of Lexington.

The impact pushed the van oncoming traffic, where it was hit head-on by a 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Abel Estrada-Macias, 22, of Taylor.

Glenda was pronounced dead at the scene. Her grandson, Hunter Werth, 20-months-old, who was a passenger in the van, was taken to Dell Children’s Hospital where he later died.

Estrada-Macias was taken to Seton Williamson County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Plinkington was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
