Gonzalo Antonio ID’d as Victim Killed in Glasscock County Pedestrian Accident on CR 125 near Garden City

Glasscock County, Texas (July 26, 2023) – Gonzalo Antonio, 50, of Garden City, has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle on Sunday morning in Glasscock County.

The deadly crash happened at around 9:22 a.m. on July 23 on CR 125, about four miles south of Garden City.

DPS said a GMC Sierra was traveling on CR 125 when the driver lost control and drifted off the road.

The Sierra hit a Chrysler that was parked on the east shoulder of CR 125 and then hit Antonio who was standing nearby.

Antonio was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the GMC did not suffer any injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
