Hannah Hernandez Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on FM 400 in Lubbock County

Hannah Hernandez ID’d as Woman Killed in Lubbock County Crash on FM 400 at U.S. Highway 62

Lubbock County, Texas (February 2, 2023) – Authorities have identified the woman who died in a traffic crash on Monday morning in Lubbock County as Hannah Nicole Hernandez, 20, of Floydada.

The deadly crash happened at around 9:08 a.m. on Monday, January 30, on FM 400 at U.S. Highway 62.

According to the authorities, 33-year-old Nicholas Erana Aquino of Richmond, Virginia, was driving a Freightliner northbound on FM 400 towards the intersection at U.S. Highway 62 while Hernandez was driving a Nissan Versa westbound on U.S. 62.

Aquino failed to yield the right-of-way to Hernandez. Both vehicles collided at the intersection.

Hernandez and a 7-month-old female were both taken to University Medical Center, where Hernandez later succumbed to her injuries.

All occupants in both vehicles were wearing seatbelts. The posted speed limit was 60 miles per hour. Weather conditions were sleeting and road conditions were icy.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
