Harvey and Martha Carlisle Injured in Wise County Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas 199 near FM 920

Wise County, Texas (December 3, 2020) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Wise County, a local news source reported.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m., November 25, on Texas 199 near Farm Road 920.

DPS said James West, 73, of Lawton, Oklahoma, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet pickup eastbound on the highway when he attempted to make a left turn but failed to yield the right-of-way to a westbound 1996 Ford F-150 that was towing an RV.

The Ford then struck the Chevrolet.

The force of the impact caused the Ford and the RV to overturn.

Two people in the Ford, Harvey and Martha Carlisle of Springtown, were taken to Wise Health System with unknown injuries.

West was also taken to WHS with unknown injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope Harvey and Martha Carlisle recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons for driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
